Here's mine. Not as good as the ones above and not my best...but what do you want shooting handheld at dark in various states of intoxication and exhaustion?

Various MTB and road goodies: Images available here.
Continental Speed King Supersonic 2.3 $40 Brand new, never ridden. At only 433 grams this is a high volume, light-weight race or XC tire. Retails for $60. Thomson Elite Seatpost 28.6 x 330mm $70 BRAND NEW! Never used. 28.6mm diameter by 330mm long. Black. Thompson claims this post weighs in at 225 grams. This is a straight shafted post, not the setback version. Includes original bag, manual & stickers. There isn't a better seatpost you could buy for your bike. Retail price on these is $100 For more information, see Thomson's site here: http://www.lhthomson.com/elite_features.htm AC Racing 15 Tooth Freewheel $12 With just 15 teeth, this is the smallest freewheel that fits standard singlespeed threads. Very good condition. It is lightly used, with essentially no wear on the teeth. Basically, it was just a bit too wide for my frame and rubbed on the edge (you can see the anodization rubbed off of the body of the freewheel in the photo). Has a little cosmetic wear from sliding around in a drawer for a couple years. Since it doesn't work with my bike, I'm selling it. Sells for $25 new. Salsa quill road stem, 130mm $15 Salsa quill stem to fit 1" steer tubes, 26.0 clamp diameter. 130mm long with 2.5(?) degrees of rise. This stem is a little old and has lot of cosmetic wear but it is still a high-quality, steel, American made stem. Salsa threadless MTB stem, 130mm $20 130mm long, 1 1/8" threadless stem with 25.4 mm clamp diameter. This steel stem does not have a removable face plate so it's a bit stronger than later Salsa stems. This might be made in the USA in the old Salsa shop, but I can't be sure. Excellent shape overall with just a little paint chipping around the steer tube clamp area. Salsa Moto-Ace flat handlebars $20 25.4 mm clamp diameter and 582mm wide. Weighs in at 151 grams. This bar is a few years old (2006), so it's actually a nicer bar, made from 6000 series aluminum, compared to the current Moto-Ace bar. I haven't used it much, perhaps on and off for a little over a year. Cinelli drop bars, 42mm $20 42mm wide center to center, 26.0 clamp diameter. The reach is a bit shorter then some other bars we have with a nice comfortable ergo bend in the drop. Heat treated Al 6082 T6 aluminum. Made in Italy. These were installed on my wife's bike for a couple years but she didn't ride it much. Never crashed and cosmetically excellent. Prices may be negotiable, particularly if you buy more than one item. |

Best Singlespeed Ever
Frame: 00' Salsa Ala Carte, hand made in the USA by famed frame builder Walter Croll Fork: Kelly rigid MTB, hand made in the USA Rear Wheel: White Industries Eric's Eccentric Hub with 17t White Industries ENO freewheel, laced to hand-polished Mavic XM819 rim with double-butted DT Competition spokes and brass DT nipples. Front Wheel: White Industries hub, laced to hand-polished Mavic XM819 rim with double-butted DT Competition spokes and alloy DT nipples. Cranks: White Industries Bottom Bracket: Phil Wood with Titanium spindle and Ti self-extracting bolts Brakes: Avid Single Digit Mag brakes and levers in "copper" color with matching orange Jagwire Ripcord cables and housing Handlebars: FSA K-Force DH, 2" rise Stem: Thomson Elite Seatpost: Ritchey WCS (hand polished) Saddle: WTB Rocket V Tires: Specialized Endro Pro 2.4 front and Specialized Resolution Pro D2 rear (both UST tubeless) ![]() For more (and larger) photos, see this gallery of stuff I'm selling. This was my primary geared bike (the frame was anyway) for several years before I converted it to singlespeed. Since then I have been slowly honing it into what I think is the perfect singlespeed. Unfortunately, I don't have much time to ride it anymore. Honestly don't think I rode more than 50 miles on this bike in the past two years. And of course, money is tight around here, so in order to buy a new cyclocross bike this one has to go. I could probably make more money if I parted it out, but I really love this bike and I'd like to see it kept more-or-less in one piece. The attributes I was trying to achieve while I built this bike were: reliable, simplicity, and light-weight (in that order). Steel frame and fork, DH bars, Thompson stem, all-mountain UST wheels and tires meet the first two qualifications. At only 21 pounds (w/o pedals) the bike also manages to meet the third attribute. You could take this bike further from here in a couple ways, one would be to add some sealant to the tires and have a sub-22 pound, nearly-invincible trail bike or swap to some lighter tires (and maybe a lighter chain and chainring) and end up with a sub-20 pound race bike. It's up to you. I think it would cost over $2500 to build a bike like this up from scratch, if you consider the labor time involved in de-anodizing and polishing the rims, seatpost and seat collar, probably over $3000. I'm asking for $1500 for this bike, I think that's more than reasonable, but I am willing to take some feedback on that. |

Monday September 6th 2010
The Beginner Section: The lower section below the pool was very muddy. The upper part, just below the pool, was OK. Remember, we have permission to use the snowshoe trail to bypass this stuff. The end, out by Chert Dip has multiple mud holes. Over Lode is in very good shape. The new repairs in the 2nd and 3rd ravine crossings held up in last week's heavy rain. Chert Dip: good shape, some mud at the beginning. Serpentine Climb: It's OK, if you like non-stop erosion, heavy on the rocks and roots. But it's fairly dry at least. I didn't ride the rest of the trail. I assume Holy Schist needs 2-3 more dry days to be rideable. Pokerville needs similar time. The Home Stretch should be OK to ride now. I put up new trail maps at the trail head and at the first intersection on Gneiss and Smooth. I have made several more. It's my first phase of upgrades for the signage at Blue Mound, with maps at strategic intersections. Let me know if you find any new trees down. I know there's one on Pokerville and two on Holy Schist. Walt |

It's time to signup for the Urban Assault Ride volunteer list!!
Helping with this great event on 9/26 ensures that CORP will receive a great financial boost heading into 2011. Below is the CORP volunteer sign-up link. http://www.urbanassaultride.com/madison/volunteer/npo A few details; There is a volunteer signup link on the Urban Assault Ride website. DO NOT I repeat DO NOT register through that link. Only sign up to volunteer through the link above. Many of the volunteer slots have multiple openings, so if you sign up and the slot does not disappear, that’s why. Once all slots for a particular duty are filled it will dissappear. Click on the specific duty to find out what you will be doing. Certain tasks do require attendance at a meeting the Thursday prior to the event. I am working to make this meeting coincide with our monthly CORP meeting. There are 30 spots to fill so recruit your family and friends and sign up as soon as possible. I will keep everybody updated with how many slots we have left to fill. As of right now we still need 27 people to register as volunteers. Let's fill all the slots as soon as possible. |

I'm going out to QR this afternoon to do some fine tuning on the tunnel trail and ride whatever I dig. Probably get there between 12 - 1 and stay for a few hrs, stop by if you'd like.

Hi,
I have a small project (very small) that should be done sooner vs. later. We have to make a skinny where people are making a short cut by one of the bridges. It could be done with decking or carrying some of the logs at the site, making ramps on ends, and flattening the top. Another wood work project I want done is a drop much like the "intermediate drop" at Raven. That's a rollable drop yet enough to get the no gravity feeling. I finally braved the skeeters and fixed up some benching until the rain started yesterday. Thanks. |
