Alright everyone, it seems it's been a while since we've had an event at quarry park. Time to plan another quarry park scramble!
I've been discussing with a few of the regulars and a few events seem easy enough to plan:
Time trial or catch up race on the new pump track
Time trial race on the outer loop
Possibly another scavenger hunt (although this takes more work to set up)

It also would give us a time to fix up the park after the events, as we've done in past years.

Anybody have comments or suggestions for a date?
Thanks,
Tom Holaday

Good idea, but I'm scratching my head on when and details. I showed up for the past two attempts where too few showed up or rain came but we did get the park fixed up.

I'll probably have the trailer here for the May 15 date but the calendar is pretty full.

I'll lend a hand if I can. I like the scavenger hunt idea 'cause my kids like Quarry Park but they're small to be riding much of it.

Well we just got a dump truck load of dirt so the pump track should be all buffed out by the end of the week and soren just fixed up the whole roller coaster so the trails will be just right soon. What would be the best way to organize this? Does anyone have an objection to the weekend after the middelton workday? Maybe the 23rd or the 29th if a saturday works better, since the 22nd is the follow me premier. Could I get a head count as to how many people would be interested?

There's a blue mounds workday the 22nd sorry not the premier. Either way we would definitely have reduced attendance.

Beside the fact that it is definitely not cool to be scheduling things the same time we should be working together to build new trails Smiley

Well of course that too. I'll definitely be there for blue mounds.

So it's coming closer to may 23rd and there doesn't seem to be a lot of interest. Would people like me to postpone it?

I'm interested, but my weekends are so full already.  Is this not something that could be done on a weeknight?

There was talk this evening about how we could do this and also see some new faces at Quarry Park. I have to finish a lot at the new park so I know it will occupy free time but I'll zip over to any fun event I can.

I don't have a problem with a weeknight, except that there probably wouldn't be time for a workday afterward which has always been the tradition. Thats ok though.

Any suggestions on which nights work best?
