As Bear suggested, let's get a big club group ride instead of an official meeting.  How about a group ride Thursday evening at Cam Rock followed by beer potluck!  6PM start?

I'm bumping this because it's way more important than that dang lcd projector thread!

Start speaking up if you're interested!

Sure!  Technically I think I became an old guy this year anyway.  Not sure where the threshold is anymore.

It would be great to get a big club thing going with lots of riders - then what usually happens is a lot of fun little groups get spread out over the woods.  No need to get out and hammer, this is about a riding some laps at a social pace, drinking a couple beers afterward.  All skill levels, speeds, ages.  If we've been having CORP meetings with 40+ attendees, this month's meeting ought to be the same evening with 40 people cruising a trail instead of sitting around a table!

If I can swing it I might go out a bit early to knock out a fast-ish lap and get it out of my system though  Grin

I can grab a first round of club meeting beer if people if I get a headcount of some sort by Wednesday afternoon.  If you  want to throw some brats on at the CRIII shelter we can show up with some charcoal.

Hopefully we'll get a lot more people showing up though!

I get my PICC line pulled tomorrow. Thinking maybe I'll come down and give it a try. Would anyone be interested in carpooling from the Mt Horeb area?

Josh drinks a beer
Greg abstains from telling us about his “PICC line”
Group practicing of the CORP log
Chuck drinks a beer
Dave and Chuck talk smack about each others’ Mamas
Josh applies poison ivy cream
Scot pleads for 12H Blue Mound volunteers
Group argues over rogue removal of various technical features that are too hard
Everyone drinks a beer
Discussion of Bean’s CCT lap times
Possibly some dogs on the grill, you decide which kind
Airing of the grievances
Feats of strength
Closing of the meeting minutes

I'm going to try to get to the CRIII parking lot by 5:00 or 5:30 at the latest, to try to get a pre-ride lap in just to get my fix.
We should try to get the group ride going around 6 - but we can have folks starting at different times if it's convenient.  Nothing formal.

I will show up with a cooler of beer, it may or may not be enough depending on how many show up - so if people want to bring a sixer or a partial one to share that would be great.

If I have time I can pick up some charcoal for the grills at the shelter there.  If someone wants to volunteer to get this stuff I'll focus on beer.  If you want to eat something off the grill, bring it.

I intend to be out of there by 9, I don't think there are any lights in that parking lot!

I'd advise bug spray!

Sorry, I got the meeting agenda confused with the rituals of Festivus.

LOOKS LIKE QUORUM TO ME FOLKS!
I think secretary Hogprint still has a banged up shoulder so we'll just bag the meeting minutes this month.  Wink

There may be some goings-on tonight that we don't necessarily want recorded in the minutes anyway Wink

Nice selection of beverages and charcoal secured.
Chuck, any chance you could bring over a grilling utensil of some sort in case people bring some food to throw on?

I counted 25+ and we never had the group all together at one time. Wish we would have pulled everyone together for a group photo op Wink Thanks to everyone who came out! It was a great time. And thanks to Scott for arranging the tasty beverages for after riding and/or BSing. They were extra good after sweating for a few hours....

Great time on the trails! They really are in great shape right now. Good grip, not wet and not too dry. Some of the never-stop-growing prairie plants are starting to get a little big again, but amazingly there are none of the nasty black raspberry bushes to worry about. In other words, a few plants might be in the way, but nothing is going to cut you up Grin

Yes, thanks for the great turnout everybody.  Now that's a way to have a meeting!  With such a big group we were spread all over the woods...I must have ridden around with 4 or 5 groups of people at different times.

As a reminder of our one official meeting topic, please help out CORP consider a volunteer slot at the 12 Hours Blue Mound race.  You can sign up on line or probably just contact QueLastima directly.

Thanks a lot guys.  I had a great time.  I never even knew where Area 51 and the old expert section were before---I always just blew right by them.  And thanks for waiting up for the slow guy on the old bike.  I'll put a crowbar to the wallet and get a real bike one of these days.....
