Do we have an official course for 2010?

There may be more weeds than I can cut. It would be helpful to know where my efforts are needed.

Maybe the weeds are enough to get us off center on this topic.  I'll join my co-director's side and say let's just run the same course as last year.  We got lots of compliments on it.  That way there won't be any "race" maintenance needed on Holy Schist.

I can't speak for Nate, but assuming I survive this weekend's race I should be available to help with trail maintenance.

Ditto on the trail work thing.

I agree with the same as last year sentiment as well.  People seemed to be excited about the course last year and I think people will be happy to hear it's the same.

If the course is the same as last year, then the weed cutting is mostly done. Just a small bit of Chert Dip, way down low remains.
The trail down off the top of the mound to the pool area hasn't been touched yet. Someone said there are several trees down. I assume the weeds are bad too.

There are some fairly muddy spots. Not sure it's practical to do much with them.

Thanks for the help offers.

Is the 6/12 course the same as the 3, but with Overlode added, or is anything else different?
Could you guys repost the course map?

I might try to take this Friday afternoon off to get a couple laps in out there seeing as how I've been there once all year, if you guys want some scout riding help.  Obviously I'd be riding Schist and not the walking trails unless we had approval.

Correct, the 3-hour lap does not cross the road into Overlode/Pleasure Valley.  Everything else is the same.  We'll get the course map up on the race blog as soon as the course is fully approved by the park.  I don't foresee any problems there, but I want to make it official before advertising it.

Yep, I rode the 3 last year - just was wondering how much longer the lap is since I'll probably jump to 6 solo.

I've officially just taken Friday off and barring too much rain this week I'm going to get out there and do as many big loops as I can.
